President & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. DeAnna Murphy is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor with a passion for helping individuals navigate trauma, emotional pain, and life transitions. As the founder of Synergy Care & Counseling, she combines compassion and evidence-based methods to guide clients toward healing and self-acceptance.

Artrisa Moore
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate
Artrisa Moore is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who is passionate about supporting women, mothers, and adolescents as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from UNC–Chapel Hill and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University.
Artrisa specializes in perinatal mental health, maternal burnout, and adolescent counseling for clients ages 12 and older. As a woman of color, she is deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive therapeutic space where clients feel seen, valued, and supported. Her work centers on empowering clients to explore their emotions, express their needs, and build resilience.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and psychoeducation to promote self-awareness, emotional balance, and holistic well-being. Artrisa believes in meeting clients where they are and collaborating with them to foster meaningful growth and healing.
She offers both in-person and virtual therapy sessions to best support clients’ comfort, accessibility, and individual needs.

Larry Murphy II
Chief Operations Officer
Larry Murphy II is the Chief Operations Officer at Synergy Care and Counseling. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in logistics and operations, having worked with several Fortune 500 companies.
Throughout his career, Larry has led teams, improved systems, and managed complex operations across different industries.
At Synergy, he uses this experience to strengthen the agency’s internal processes and daily operations. His focus is on making sure the organization runs smoothly so that staff can concentrate on providing quality mental health care. Larry’s leadership helps ensure that Synergy is efficient, well-organized, and prepared to meet the needs of the communities it serves.

Marsha Okunromade
Wellness Director

As Wellness Director, Marsha brings a dynamic approach to care by aligning mind, body, and spirit—reflecting Synergy Care and Counseling’s commitment to whole-person wellness. She designs and implements wellness initiatives that create synergy between clinical services and supportive lifestyle practices. Through her leadership, Marsha cultivates a harmonious environment where clients and staff thrive together in health and healing.
Marsha is the creator of Gem Cut Fitness and currently serves as an online Fitness and Stress Coach. She holds a Master of Science in Exercise Science with a focus on Strength and Conditioning from George Washington University. Her background includes research at Georgetown University’s Cancer Center, focusing on minority women at risk for breast cancer, obesity, and noncommunicable diseases.
A passionate advocate for lifestyle medicine, Marsha believes many health challenges can be addressed through healthy living and aims to empower women and youth to improve their quality of life through education and sustainable wellness practices.
