Theoretical frameworks used by Dr. Murphy consist of TF-CBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Released in Spring 2018, Murphy’s first children’s book, Rayne and the Yellow Dress, part of a series titled Ebony Drive, was created as a pathway for parents and educators to discuss topics of colorism, hair texture, and body image with children in the black community. When not in session, Dr. Murphy enjoys volunteering within her church community, exercising, and creating precious memories with her family. At this time Dr. Murphy is unable to receive any new referrals.
